Check out the Typical Daily Schedule for Fusion Swim Camps
We’ve already gone over what you must pack before heading to one of our Fusion Swim Camps this summer, but do you know what you can expect once you get to camp and check in? No two curriculums of our camps are exactly the same, but we can provide some general guidelines and a rough schedule to at least give you an idea before taking the dive (see what we did there?).
Depending on your skill level and schedule availability during the summer, there are six different types of camps to choose from during the registration process. These camps include, overnight, extended day, day, half-day, Start and Turn and Stroke Development swim camps.
We went into more detail about each of these options here, so before reading on, we’d suggest you take a quick look to know how these camps differ from one another.
Now that you’ve taken a glance at that last blog post, we can move on! Here’s a typical schedule for an overnight camper:
- 7:00am Wake-up
- 7:45 Breakfast
- 9:00 Stretching and warm-up
- 9:25 First Session – Stroke Work-Out
- 11:00 Video Analysis
- 12:00pm Lunch
- 1:00 Free Time
- 2:00 Dry Land Exercises
- 3:00 Second Session -Stroke Work-Out
- 4:30 Dinner
- 6:00 Time Trials/ Evening Activities
- 10:30 Lights out
As we said before, the schedule can vary a little bit, but this gives you a good idea of how a typical day is organized. With regard to the “evening activities” portion of the schedule, this could include a bunch of different options, such as seminars on nutrition, recruiting, sports psychology, movie night or karaoke and game night.
If you opt for an extended day camp, the schedule will look similar to the overnight one above, but the biggest difference is that it’ll likely run from about 9am to 9pm.
Already signed up for a day swim camp this summer? Here’s what the daily schedule could look like:
- 9:00am Stretching and warm-up
- 9:25 First Session – Stroke Work-Out
- 11:00 Video Anaylsis
- 12:00pm Lunch
- 1:00 Free Time
- 2:00 Dry Land Exercises
- 3:00 Second Session -Stroke Work-Out
- 4:30 Camp departure
Day camps are perfect for swimmers who want to get the top-notch instruction from our directors and coaches, but aren’t able to spend most of the evening with us, as well.
For any half-day camp options, the schedule usually runs from approximately 9am to 12pm.
We pride ourselves on developing camps that are fast-paced, explosive and thrilling so every swimmer has the opportunity to improve their performance level in each of the basic strokes. This includes work on all aspects of competitive strokes, like turn mechanics and efficiency, breathing and body positioning and overall conditioning.
So, no matter what type of Fusion Swim Camp you choose, you can be happy knowing that the daily schedules all focus on one thing: helping you get better in the water!
